Make Mornings Better

School is in session and mornings can be rough!  Make mornings better with these suggestions from the blomus Design Team.

HANG IT UP!

During weekend downtime help each child choose 5 outfits for the week.  They can be hung on hooks or folded neatly out of the way.  Kids still have the freedom to choose an outfit in the morning, but their selection will be from 5, not from the endless possibilities hanging in their closet. Shop hooks.

TRANSPORT BREAKFAST ITEMS ON A TRAY!

Breakfast items, like jellies, butter, creamer and hot sauce (for weirdos like my kids who eat the red stuff on eggs and hash browns) can be kept in the fridge on a tray that moves easily to and from the breakfast table each morning.  This will help you avoid repeat trips to the refrigerator or table during breakfast time.

STOP SIBLING RIVALRY!

Taking time to pester your sibling can really slow things down.  Keeping everyone’s things separate will alleviate pointless arguments, especially when sharing a bathroom space.  Of course it is totally gross if your brother’s toothbrush touches your hair ties…who wouldn’t cause world war III over that.

Having personal hook & hand towel and their own designated basket where only their things can go helps everyone be more friendly in the morning. Shop bathroom storage boxes

KEEP KEYS BY THE DOOR!

Finally getting everyone out the door only to realize you can’t find your car keys or house keys can turn a smile upside-down.  LWAYS keep keys right next to the door in a stylish key box or hanger.  It will become habit to place them there when you arrive home and they will always be where you need them when it’s time to leave.

blomus offers several keybox designs, some that feature magnetic fronts which double as magnet boards, so tickets, parking vouchers and reminder notes can be adjacent to your keys.
